The brilliant HTC Advantage PDA/Mini computer is due to arrive in the states very soon, and by all
account should be an instant hit, for it successfully combines mobile technology with some pretty impressive computing power, something that normally is very rare in these types of machine, which meant that in order to have the complete mobility of office, web and communications there has always been a need to make a compromise as to what features were a priority to the user on a personal basis.
However it appears that the HTC Advantage has covered all the bases, by providing a complete set of tools that offer the user all the main benefits of what would normally be expected from a “Cutting Edge” device, as the company HTC describe it.

In reality this machine could usher in a new wave of mobile computing devices, as it is smaller than a laptop, in fact it can actually fit into a coat pocket, and on the other hand is slightly larger than a mobile phone, but the difference is in what you can do, clearly this device will enable the user to work as if on a laptop, it comes with some pretty useful software or software downloads as required such as Microsoft Office and Windows Mobile 5.0, not everyone is happy with having Microsoft software so there are other “Open Source” options, yet what this means is that with this device it is possible to work while out traveling, it is easily concealable so there is no worry about having a laptop stolen, there are many benefits to be had by using this small computer, PDA or phone, whatever term favors it better.
The Advantage has a five inch VGA screen, which sound small, but if related to a mobile phone screen these have great definition and because it is held closer than a computer screen, the graphics are more than visible. Probably one of the important, if not the most important feature of any portable computing device is the battery power, the stated battery life is around eight hours, which is perfect for people on the move, which is probably why it has Sat Nav included too.
