Lots of people love Guitar Hero III to an insane degree.  If you’re a real Guitar Hero, but aren’t enjoying the sensation of that plastic guitar in your hand when what you really want is the heft and power of the real thing, then Peavey has a deal for you.  If you have the PlayStation 2 version of GHIII and you don’t mind using wired controllers, then for the low, low price of $399, you too can have one of five Peavey AG LE Riffmaster Guitar Hero controllers!  Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Lynard Skynard, and even a version of Zakk Wylde’s Bullseye guitar!

Those are all awesome-looking guitars, and even more awesome-looking controllers, but for $400, you could buy a pretty good real guitar at any pawn shop in the country.  I like the game and all, but this is just way too much for me to handle, and more of an investment than I’m willing to make for a wired controller meant for a dying video game system.  Now when they launch the versions for XBox 360, Wii, and PS3 later this year, I might have to fight the temptation a little more.  Until then, I’ll stick with my plain white plastic Les Paul.
