Ivy, my cousin and one of the most prolific bloggers in the Shakadoo family (read her here, here, here, and here, among other places), is a big fan of the Sanrio brand of cute and cuddly monster critters. She LOVES Hello Kitty. I have no idea why, but it is what it is.
That’s why when I find something weird and Hello Kitty related, I do my best to blog about it here at Shaktronics. Considering Hello Kitty is Japanese, she gets slapped on a lot of otherwise unrelated electronics. Like, for example, this 19-inch Hello Kitty HDTV. I’m not sure what Hello Kitty has to do with TV, but hey, I’m not Japanese.
According to CrunchGear, this little number has a resolution of 1440 x 810, two speakers, HDMI/component interfaces, a built-in digital tuner, and interestingly enough an extra low power consumption profile, which is probably one of its more interesting selling points (aside from being surprisingly unpink and glittery). It’s a little steep at $650, but for an imported Japanese TV that’s also kawaii, I’m sure that’s a good buy.
