I think my obsession with the theremin is getting just a little out of hand. For example, when I saw this post on Randy George covering the Super Mario Brothers theme on a theremin, I knew it’d be the next Musical Monday, even though my last Musical Monday as also all about Super Mario Brothers. No, I can’t explain why I love the theremin so much.

I think this has to do with entirely too many bad sci-fi movies from the 1950′s. That’s the only reasonable explanation as to why I want an instrument that sounds like space aliens so badly (and so unreasonably). I think it would definitely be awesome, though I’m sure with my lack of musical talent it’d just gather dust, like my keyboard and guitar do.
