    Wii Theremin
    YouTube Preview Image

I actually had no idea the Wiimote was such an impressive piece of technology, but apparently it’s incredibly useful if you’re a do-it-yourself hacker type. Ken Moore is one of those folks, and he turned his Wii remote and laptop into a theremin. The whole set up, which he shows you how to do in the video above, cost him only $35.

Well, the materials to do that hack only cost him $35, a Wiimote, Roland synthesizer, and a laptop might cost you a little more than that, plus the code to make the whole setup work. Still, you can’t argue with the results!
