    Nintendo Circa 1988

This video of a Nintendo-related news report from the late 80’s is awesome on so many levels.  First:  Bill O’Reilly was the host of Inside Edition back then, rather than an incredibly popular/controversial TV political show host.  Second:  Inside Edition is still on the air almost 20 years later!  Third, it’s a video game story that doesn’t have any negative thing to say about video games other than the fact they’re fun and can sometimes be difficult.  Fourth:  The video game counselor’s heroic mullet.  Fifth:  Howard Phillips‘ bow tie.

I still have my Nintendo.  It doesn’t work anymore, but I keep it just the same.  I logged too many thousands of hours on it to toss it out for the trash.  No matter how many hours I tried, I could never land that one super-long jump in Super Mario Brothers world 8-2, so I never beat the game.
