Remember how I said I wasn’t going to spend any more money on fake musical instruments for The Beatles Rock Band unless one of the special guitar models that come with the game was a Gretsch?  Well, guess what is going to be released on the same day that The Beatles Rock Band is getting released?  A Gretsch Duo Jet lookalike Rock Band Guitar.  They’re also going to release a Rickenbacker 325, if you’re more of a Lennon fan.

It’s pretty eerie that the one thing I said I wanted MTV Games to do is exactly what they did, isn’t it?  I’m not egotistical enough to believe they did it just for me, but it’s still kind of a neat coincidence.  Are there that many Gretsch fanatics out there?  Was the demand for more Beatles guitar controllers that immediate and loud that it couldn’t be ignored, or will we eventually see a Rock Band version of every notable brand of guitar?
