I’m still not a huge fan of being forced online to play games, but I have to admit that when I’ve played a Stream game, I’ve never found it to be an intrusive experience.  That’s a good thing, because Steam and other streaming video game services are the future of how games are played, delivered, and sold.  But, all that means Steam is still a store, like any other store, and we all know that stores have sales.

Steam is kicking off its big summer sale, with prices on video games from The Walking Dead to Portal 2 slashed to the bone.  We’re talking prices between 25 and 75 percent off, and that’s even for Steam’s newest, hottest games!  In addition to the 24-hour sale, Steam is running flash sales every few hours, where games get discounted even more.  There are games for sale, right now, that cost less than a McDonald’s value meal!
